The weather rained on the original Harvest Party date, but the new one proved even more festive. With trick-o-treaters strolling up and down First Street by Avant Garden, live music by Solate, a delicious potluck (gazpacho, pie, crisps, salads, and grilled meats donated by one of our Community Supported Agriculture partners, Tara Firma Farms, specially grilled by Chef Steph), friends and members of Sustainable Solano toasted to a good harvest.

Members of the Benicia/Vallejo Food Co-op, Benicia Share Plot, Benicia Community Gardens Avant and Swenson Gardens and Benicia Community Orchards, as well as Land Caretakers and Benicia Sustainable Backyard keepers settled in the warm sunshine at fold-out tables, chatting, listening to music, and sharing.
